Letters & Animals
Inspired by letterers like Alice Lee and Jessica Hische, I wanted a reason to draw again while working as a full-time product designer. One letter posted to Instagram turned into a commitment: illustrate an animal for every letter of the alphabet.
After months of drawing, I finished all 26 — then stretched a little further by building a simple HTML and CSS page to share them.
Hand-lettering isn’t product design, but the muscles transfer. You learn to see in layers, carve shape from empty space, and add detail with intention. When I came back to UX sketching, my wireframes were cleaner — and easier to explain.
These letters were play with a point: curiosity, craft, and a public home for the work.
